The Quest for Adventure started in the Summer of 2008 as a place to plot a road trip from London to Melbourne. It has since evolved in name – Questing for Adventure – and scope. We now share stories and travel ideas that keep us dreaming about the road yet untraveled.

Contributors:

Weldon: Raised to have insatiable wanderlust, Weldon has been all over the US (except Alaska, Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana), Europe, and spent a year going around the world. He lives in London, which serves as a perfect base for further explorations of Europe and North Africa.

Dale: Brought up in the bleak steppes of northwest Texas, I always wanted to go away and keep going. Travel has become more frequent since I retired 3 years ago, but I have have always traveled. So far I have been to 48 of the 50 United States, Canada, Mexico, Iceland, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, former Yugoslavia, Greece, Costa Rica, Peru, Sweden, England, Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand. However, it is not about collecting arbitrary political or geographic locations, it is all about being there. In between I come back home to the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico where we have our home in the woods at the end of a dirt road and at 7000 ft. altitude.

Sarah: The tone of her life was set early on at the elementary school declaration that she would make it to all seven continents. Since then she’s made it to five of them and is saving up for those final two (Antarctica and South America). In the meanwhile, she’s decided the only way to afford her voracious appetite for travel is to get a job that pays her to be a globe-trotter.  She now works for an international public health organization based in D.C. that has her on the move. Shhh, don’t let them know they’re funding the habit…
